Phoney Money (theme from Panic Room part 1)

from Payday - The Game Soundtrack by Simon Viklund

/

about

This is the track heard before you put on your mask in the "Panic Room" heist in the game.

The heist is about ripping of a gang of thugs and drug dealers. This track is heard when you walk into the apartment building where the gang has their drug lab - and the instrumental hiphop style gives the gang and the entire heist the right suburban, "street" atmosphere.

The VO is provided by Howard Thompson, who is the voice of both Chains and the Jamaican drug dealer.

---

The music in the game "Payday - The Heist" is dynamic - this means that its intensity adapts to what's happening in the game. The tracks on this soundtrack release are all put together from the elements that make up the dynamic music.

Often, over six or seven minutes of music has been trimmed and arranged (by the original composer) to become a shorter, more accessible piece of music that you can enjoy listening to outside of the game.
